<VV> Kit car engine installation

Does anyone  know of any  Corvair engine and/or drive train issues with the
engine stuck  out  there with no visible means of support?

1  When a Corvair Engine is used on a VW / Porsche Transaxle... the Bellhousing is replaced by a very robust adapter plate.


AND the added weight / leverage of the Vair 's extra 100 lb  requires a support at the mating area of the two... Usually just a thin metal sheet  suspended from framework.


  On the street.. the Vair bellhousing is most likely strong enough.. but why chance it...build a support...single tube would be sufficient.


I have seen several though without them
