<VV> CORRECT FAN COLOR?

The gray color is based on my observation of my four Corvairs, all with
a known history and quite original. The fans do get dirty and develop a
dark gray or blackish color and do develop corrosion over the years, but
mine where all gray (until I painted two of them).

Really? I have several that are VERY dark gray to black, all over, and
it appears to be some sort of anodic coating, not paint.

was there a year that had a grey mag fan as original color?
(trying to
keep
the 64 coupe as close to correct as i can ). most i have seen
are semi
gloss black. most steel fans i have seen are unpainted. ALL of
my stuff
is 164 cu
inch.
