<VV> stock fuel pump over 50,000 no problem

over the years I have owned 10+ corvairs, the 2 i now own over 35,000 mi.  
and one just sold 15,000+ mi. with no problem on stock pump. the only corvair  
with elect fuel pump had to replace pump.
I do not know which is best just my experince.
