Redneck..........maybe.
The full story should have included my car was a 64 T-Bird, broke a power
steering belt just before we left for the concert. 64 T-Bird had hydraulic
wipers, so no power steering, no wipers. The econoline van was the only
option, but had no gas in it. Couldn't siphon from the T-bird, so we used a
couple gallons of snowmobile mix, to head out and look for an open gas
station on New Years eve. Found gas, ran out and had to push the van to the
pumps.Had the steering wheel fall off once, used up 3 batteries on the 30
mile trip to downtown Buffalo. thank goodness I took the battery out of the
Bird before we left as that one got us home............
Concert tickets were $6 each, nosebleed seats, we took binoculars.
Another friend saved his parents econoline pickup for years hoping to
restore it, finally junked it when he noticed the motor was touching the
ground.....only thing holding it in was the tranny mount..............
