<VV> Batteries (not Corvair)

Does anyone know who makes Delco batteries?  I have had a rash of defective
ones in late model GM autos (and also other people I have talked with).  The
side posts come out and dump acid all over.  All were still under warranty so
it was no expense, just aggravation. Just curious.
In my corvairs I have had good luck with batteries from Wal-Mart.  My 67 has a
Gel type battery in in that was in it when I bought it, and it is still
running strong after two years, and I don't know how old it was when I
purchased the car.
