It will take less time to simply reseal the backlight glass as per
factory with "tar rope" than to attempt to glue it into place with RTV.
I wouldn't even think of trying to stick in place with Any sort of
superglue. Last time I did it with tar rope it took me an hour, by
myself, with a couple of suction cups that I use for body work such as
pulling out broad dents etc. That included the time to clean off the
hardened original seal.
