When my '62 gets cranky about idling, it's usually because one of the seats
has started to back out of the carburetor body, causing it to flood. It's a
gradual process that gets worse and worse until I have to slip into neutral
at stops and keep the engine revved so I can get home and tighten it back
in.

I've been told to use Locktite, but I hate putting squeeze gunk into fuel
or oil passages.
