Ooops.  I forgot to mention that the service news also said to insure that the clutch pedal shaft cable retainer gap space where the ball end of the cable goes on the clutch pedal is spread apart to 3/16 of an inch.  If you don't, this will allow "chaffing" of the cable to occur.  They also said to apply some grease to both sides of the cable ball seat to insure that the cables' ball can rotate freely.
