<VV> '65 clutch cable adjustment

Hi John,
I found this info in the "Chevrolet Service News" from Sep. '64. 
In a nutshell, it says: 
Crossshaft lever to x-member for a 4 spd is 3/4" to 1".  A  3 spd is 1 7/8" to 2 1/8".  Pull rearward on cable.  Adjust cable swivel to enter hole on x-shaft lever.  Connect swivel, tighten lock nut, connect return spring. 
Pull rod until bearing rests against clutch fingers, then adjust pull rod swivel to just enter hole in the outboard x-shaft lever.  Turn swivel 3 turns to lenthen pull rod, then connect and test clutch.
Lastly, don't forget to "antiseize" the crap out of the threaded parts.  You'll be glad you did.  Also as for that 2.03 " measurement from the assembly manual, it is for 3 spds.    Hope this helps.
