Smitty Says; Tom and Matt. As Nixon would have said, let me make this
perfectly clear. The transverse 64 spring is not bolted solid in the
middle, but is allowed to pivot up and down at the ends, exerting force on
the opposite wheel similar to a sway bar. The transverse spring though works
opposite to a sway bar. When a wheel lifts with a swaybar attached it tries
to lift the opposite wheel. When a wheel lifts when attached to a
transverse spring, the initial movement is opposite to a swaybar. Lift on
one wheel presses down on the other, because the spring rocks on its center
mount.
