I guess that this is why the Clarks kit to remove  the 1965 Alternator and 
replace it with a generator was such a slow  seller. <grin> - Seth

Thanks for making me remember those bad old days back  in high school  
keeping my mother's various EMs running and the  hassles of learning the 
hard way  
how to remove, repair and remount  those heavy generators.  I think I was  
almost as happy to see  an alternator with easily accessible bolts on the 
'65 
as  I was to  see the  styling.
