Just out of curiosity, what has been your experience as far as how long
a set of standard points (Kettering ignition) will typically last
(reference machine is '63 Monza 900, 80 hp 3-speed, only non-standard
part of the ignition system is an Accel coil.) A few years ago I ran
into problems when I failed to replace the condensor in the distributor,
and a couple successive sets of points only lasted a few hundred miles
each. After I put in a new condensor, that problem went away. I'm always
tempted to switch to an Igniter but would just as soon not spend the
money since I'm not having problems with the standard system.

I've always seen 10k -15k miles.... Today the Bluestreaks seem to be the only ones with the oil wiper felt.
