Raising the BS flag on that one. I've had modified 10SI alternators on my Corvairs for about 10 years. There's one in my driver that used to be my daily driver. Another one is in my race car, it gets plenty hot.

Your Mileage May Vary.... but I've heard (not experienced) that the
internally regulated ones don't seem to hold up as well in our hot (Corvair)
engine compartments.
Others might wish to comment on that.
