<VV> INTERNAL regulated alternators

hogwash, I have thousands of miles on several of my own and others with no  
failures. FC's mostly , but on spyders also..
I am running them on 4 vehicles of my own , and several others I have  
converted around here.
They are also excellent on farm equipment and  boats.               I feel 
they are very failsafe.
