#1 is safety. Be sure the job is done in a well ventilated area. The gasoline IS 
dangerous. It might be best to siphon most out first. The tool Clark sells is 
valuable, other wise it is hammer and screw driver for taking off and putting on 
the lock ring.  Do not fill the tank to check for leaks. Just a gallon or so to 
start.
 Be sure of a good ground when done.
 I like to take the tank out and clean and seal it, but that is another job and 
sometimes a hassle.
