<VV> Power Enrichment Needle

Hi everyone...I hope you all had a most enjoyable Thanksgiving.  After enjoying my youngest daughter's delicious pumpkin pie, I went out to the garage to remove the left side carb on my 66 Monza 110, take it apart, clean it, put in new gaskets/accelerator pump, etc.

Anyway, after I put the carb back together, I discovered I had forgotten to put the pump return needle back in.  If I forgot that, I also probably forgot to put the Power Enrichment Needle back as well (I found the pump needle after I had the carb back in the car!).

The shop manual shows the Power Enrichment Needle as sitting on top of the accelerator return spring.  I never noticed anything there like that needle.
The diagram doesn't seem too clear.

Would anyone know where that needle goes?
