Same on the coupes with the shoulder belts.  But they're more comforable than some of todays shoulder belts.

My '69 Monza Convertible #2891 has shoulder belts. They are mounted on the rear 
oor panels. I consider them to be cumbersome and strange compared with the 
elts we have today. But I still wear them whenever driving. You just have to 
emember to release the hand brake before putting it on.
