<VV> 1964 Cylinder fit a 1962?

I think the 1964 cylinders are the same as the 1962, except for the clearance 
notches for the longer crank throw. I believe the length from the base gasket 
surface to the head gasket surface is the same. I think the stroke difference is 
handled by a different distance from piston top to wrist pin. In that case, I 
could use a 1964 cylinder barrel to replace one barrel in a 1962. 


Am I correct?
