<VV> Autoweek article wording

Nobody is going to argue that SA is better than MLRS.

However, I would argue that the SA was perfectly adequate by the standards
of the day, as the car was originally conceived. I really doubt that anyone
at GM looked at a '60 80hp/PG and thought "SPORTS CAR!"

I also kind of doubt that anyone at GM knew about the contents of some book
by an obscure lawyer. But I'll leave that one to the conspiracy
enthusiasts.

Regards,
Joel

I'd be willing to bet that the folks at GM knew about Ralphie's book before
it was published. It only started with the Corvair and covered several other
"evil" cars.
I'd also be willing to bet that the Chevy engineers knew about the short
comings of the EM rear suspension design before the book was written (go
ahead and argue how a swing axel is really better than a fully independant
suspension).

The '66 model was on the assembly line roughly the same time that Nader's
ook hit the shelves.

This article also states falsely that the '64 Corvair suspension changes
were a result of Nader's book "Unsafe at any Speed" . This book was not
 printed until 1965.

 Hi Robert!

I would say the article states "incorrectly" that the '64 Corvair changes
 were a result etc.. . . .

To me, the term "falsely" implies malice. "Incorrectly" is a factual
 statement of a mistake.

 But that's just my opinion!
