<VV> BRAKE FLUID

My understanding of not using silicone brake fluid in ABS cars is that it
doesn't have the lubricity for the abs pump, and that it aerates VERY
easily. The high pressure pumps in an ABS system (Teves comes to mind) could
cause cavitation with the potential for aeration.
This could be an issue with using silicone in the corvair when you bleed the
lines. Air WILL become entrapped in the fluid thats bled out. Never pour
this fluid back into the bottle until it has sat for an hour or so for the
air to find its way out of the bled fluid.

it has been said that silicone fluid is a NO NO in ABS brake systems
because of it's different compressibility? i am sure there is more about it

online.
check with your N A P A / flaps , that came up just as i retired from the
business in the early 90's.
they made a big safety issue over it.
also , i do not add it to a Corvair , without a total rebuild , or at least
a total flush of the system with brake clean and air. better off redoing
it correctly the first time though.
