the year is not specified. I think they finally fixed this in 1968-69 but

Clark,
GM/Chevrolet didn't include the date code to help us out with more
information. The date code was used as a BUILD CODE for the engine assembly line
to tell them which parts to install in the engine. Everybody on the line knew
what year it was at the time so, they didn't have to include that info.
