In the meantime, you lost 3 or 4 months of driving FUN!
My advice, fix the one you've got (quick, but not too dirty) and find
another to "practice" on. Corvair engines are fairly plentiful and not
expensive when in the "unknown" condition.
IMO, you've let your obvious considerable expertise with computer graphics
prevent (or seriously delay) you from moving from the "virtual" world into
the "real" word of .... Getur Done!
