Start with easiest things   heh heh .....  try another coil, and I would 
replace the in-cap capacitor also.  If neither solves the problem, at least 
you have a couple things to add to your corvair E-tripkit.

Also, the coil to distributor wire can do amazing tricks ...  might be worth 
a replacement try.

then the hill gets steeper ...
