Sounds like a coil to me. Got a spare you can wire in temporarily to see if
the problem evaporates?

My 64 coupe 110 2 carb 'vair runs fine for about 5 miles, then starts to
buck and kick, then it dies.
I had assumed that the previous owner had screwed up the carbs (which he
had) and replaced them with Clark's rebuilts. I did a full tuneup, cap,
rotor, condenser, all wires, vacuum hoses, plugs, points.
Took her out today, and had to get her towed 1.5 miles home.
I'm thinking the coil is the problem, but I don't know. It could be wiring
or the ingition switch or -???
Anyone have a coil fail this way?
Any other ideas?????
Jim NJ
