<VV> Benefits of the CC, was: CORSA Members on the Internet

I agree with Ken. And it occurs to me that we should post the BENEFITS of
having the CC printed and mailed on a regular basis.

For me, I like having it PHYSICALLY in my hands. It is more convenient for
me than is a computer, in many ways. I don't have to have expensive, bulky
equipment to access it. It doesn't even need to be plugged in. And I can
easily take it anywhere, instantly. It is archivable in a way computers
can't match. A stack of magazines won't "crash" and be instantly lost. You
can leaf randomly thru a magazine and stumble on things you wanted to know,
like I did just this week (that's another story). It is an acknowledgment
that the club and every friend I have in it is still out there and very
much alive and well.

But most of all, I simply don't have the capacity for "printing out"
anything approaching the quality of the printed CC. (And for those who want
to go spending my money that I don't have, DROP DEAD.) Nor would I want to
have to spend the time printing out, stapleing, and folding it, even if I
could. So I will always want my CC delivered to me in my mailbox, and NOT
online, thank you very much.

To me the Communique is the physical symbol of my connection to CORSA. My
cars are the physical reality of my connection to the Corvair.

My cars will always be the reality of my connection to Corvairs. Without
the magazine, or with a diminished magazine, my connection to CORSA
diminishes.

I speak for no one but myself. Others may share, or not, my perspective.
