<VV> Leaky Fuel Pump?

Hi guys...has anyone been able to fix a fuel pump that keeps leaking?  If tighten the screws aroud the perimieter of the pump, it stops leaking for a while, then starts again.

Today, I noticed tiny puffs of something (like smoke, but not wet like gasoline) putt-putting out of the side of the pump between the cover and body of the unit.

Anyone with advice, much appreciated!
