i forgot to mention , as you should be able to figure out , you need to cut 
 a little off the housing before you put the new coil end on it. it can be 
done  without removing the core , but a better job with core backed off , 
and cut with  a dremel cutoff wheel. this is not a quick job , but saves the 
cable. i have  done a few over the years , mostly early cars and vans with 
bound up levers on  the rear heater box. sometimes the binding is caused by 
insulation loose inside  , or last one was mouse damage. i removed the blower 
motor and the duct on the  firewall (3 inch hose) and sucked out half a seat 
with a shop vac. then found it  on top of the motor also. ya never know 
where these projects can  lead  you..so check it out.
