<VV> "bucking" question

No, I did not misspell a word... I have an acquaintance in Hodgenville (about 20 miles) who has a 1964 Monza convertible with powerglide... he said when he is sitting at a light or stop sign the car "bucks" and someone told him it is the torque convertor...

I've never had such a problem... he's driving it out to my place tomorrow to see what's up... any ideas guys?

I know nothing else about this car.... I've never seen it, so I'm in the dark. Any and all tips, hits, and suggestions are appreciated.
