It has been a long time, but my old 65 Monza did the same thing. I could hit a small bump, and it would start shaking like crazy. Only way to stop it was to slow way down. If I remember correctly, at that time, early 80s, Clarks sold a "steering dampener". Just a small, shock like device that was supposed to stop the shaking. I had to sell it before I ever put it on, so don't know if it works, but you might check and see if they still sell it. BRUCE
