<VV> Egizio Chevrolet in Naperville, IL

Rocco Egizio is the son of former Chevrolet-Oldsmobile 
Dealer Angelo (?) Egizio. Egizio Chevrolet-Olds was 
located right on Rt.34, or Ogden Avenue in the heart of 
Naperville. My first field assignment working for 
Chevrolet Division of General Motors back in 1975/6 had me 
visiting that dealership. Rocco was not of driving age 
yet, but he and his brothers and father had an outstanding 
collection of Corvairs parked behind the dealership. There 
must have been more than a dozen! Most were projects and 
none were for sale. I think that once he was no longer a 
franchised Chevy dealer most of the cars were moved out. 
Where did they go? Sounds like Rocco saved at least one. 
Good for him! You gotta admit; at least the guy has 
enthusiasm for our favorite car. - Pete Koehler, formerly
