Our good friends at Hemmings have twice mentioned Corvairs in the February
2009 issue of Hemmings Motor News (that's their original publication that's
primarily classified ads on newsprint). On page 20 in their "Cyber Cruising"
column they showcase Gary Aube's excellent Web site. Then, in his "The Long
Way Around" column on page 84 David LaChance turns to orphans arguing that
Saturn has already become an orphan because current models are basically badge
engineered Opels. He says the Saturn was originally "the heir to the Vega and
the Corvair" since it debuted as "the latest in a line of innovative cars
meant to push the foreign invaders from our shores." He makes a good point.
Happy reading!
