This could be a possibility for widows whose husbands collected LOTS of
corvair parts. What's the wife to do?
To keep the greedy from swooping down upon the widow with trucks and
trailers (which i've seen),
I saw good alternative at a NC Fall Affair.
After my good friend Kemp Swiney died, he had a lot of stuff at his house
that his wife and Corvair owner son decided they needed to get rid of as
they weren't going to use it. A U-Haul was brought to the NC show, and
CORSA NC member Jeff Barrett was the auctioneer. The parts were put in
lots, and sold that way. I bought a tow bar Kemp had built to bolt to the
body of a LM after you remove the front bumper. It's a good piece of gear.
For the widows/survivors who are left well prepared with insurance, the
couple could decide together to auction off the unwanted stuff and donate
the money to CORSA.
If CORSA isn't already a 501 (c) (3) non profit, a whole bunch of people on
the BoD are asleep at the switch, and that goes back a long time.
