Grant, don't know about paypal, but one of my son in laws was hit head on by
a guy having a "medical Episode" doing 75 mph, and has been in the ICU since
DEc 4. We set up a blog about him and opened a account at a bank for
charitible contributions.
Her family needs to look into a possible short term disability program the
teachers may have, and since she was working she may be able to qualify for
SSI (Social Security Income)because she is probably now classified as
disabled. Long term disability can start after a year thru social security
programs.
There are usually people at the hospitals who are specialists into finding
finances, but you have to ask. Ask if there is a financial assistant in the
social services department at the hospital. Not something I advise anyone to
have to go thru, but it has upheaved our whole family as we support our
daughter and grandchildren.
Hope this helps.

Another way, but not the only way.
