Now it is an outside antenna and it will need to be grounded to protect the 
 house, radio and you from lightning.  Unless the 20' pvc is on the car and 
 then visions of the Back to the Future Delorean come to mind.  But yes, a  
bigger antenna with give you a stronger signal.
