years ago  there was one in a Charleston SC junkyard... if I knew then 
what I knew now,  I would have likely still passed it up! ;-)

Would make an awesome  platform for a Corvair swap!

Yeah, a Ghia 1500. It is the Ghia body on the Type III VW Chassis (Like the  
squareback) Always an import by servicemen. A Corsa member from Arizona, Fred  
Bachrodt, has/had one of these with a Corvair 180 turbo and an early Bosch  
EFI. He ran it at the San Jose Convention. - Seth
