Hello Dave: I've been using the advance - retard unit, as produced by  Dale 
Mfg., for approximately 15-years; the unit is installed on a 64 Spyder  with 
150 turbo with wrapped exhaust. After fussing with the initial timing  a bit 
(finally settled on 20-degrees), I've been completely satisfied with the  
outcome: gas mileage has improved, as has overall driveability.
