<VV> Roll bar / cage question

I'll echo what Seth said - even if you don't immediately plan to run  
the car in some event, find out what the required specs are for some  
of your local organizations.  If you don't know of any, start with  
the SCCA and NHRA.  Usually the drag specs are a little more lenient  
until you have a really fast car since there aren't any turns, but I  
think once you're faster than 14 seconds or so you'll need  
something.  For SCCA, most Solo events don't require a bar or cage,  
but again, see what the specs are.  It's a lot cheaper to get  
something a little better now than a whole new cage later.  Good luck!
