Smitty Says:  Go for it JIm.  Use any old box fan or other fan that doesn't use brushes in the motor to draw the fumes and dust out a window or up a chimney.  In your case a small squirrel cage fan would do fine.  This is absolutely safe unless you do one of two things.  Do not operate the fan switch or plug/unplug the power in the presence of the fumes.  This may necessitate running an extension cord to the outside where you can plug/unplug power to the fan in a safe area.
Very few 110 volt fans use brush type motors nowdays so you should have no trouble finding one for the job.
