If it's a stock Master Cylinder, chances are good it's already 1".   
I've been spending some quality time with the Shop Manuals :-)  All  
Corvair (including FC) Master Cylinders are 1" bore, except for 62-63  
metallic brake option which was 7/8", according to the '61, '62-'62,  
'64, and '65 manuals.

So, for a bigger bore you'll want a 1 1/8".
