<VV> 61 Loadside update and questions

   In my 62 Rampside I use a 3.27 diff. coupled to a 61FC, 4 sp. It works fine, even with full load, as the overall ratio on first is 13.93 (4.26 x 3.27). I think 61FCs were the only ones with the 4.26 ratio (on 1st). The other 4 sp.(early) gear boxes have a 3.65 ratio which works better with 3.55 and 3.89 diffs.

<< I have a 3:27 ratio rear end lying around or I know a club member who is willing to sell me a parts van at a great price. I see the 3:27 was an option in the FCs. Is the 4-speed and the 3:27 rear end a livable combination or should I stick with 3:89 gears?>>
