Sorry to belabor this rather stupid topic, butt

It is the mention of Stuttgart that set me off -- part of the Porsche 
356 gear shift mechanism is commonly and acceptably refereed to as the 
D*** Hockey Stick, especially when it has failed.  NOTE: "acceptably".

Likewise, if someone is going to get on their high horse about proper 
torque specs, maybe some commentary about WHY those specs are important, 
esp for grade 8 in a grade 5 hole -- ewwwh! you mean we need to go out 
and re heat-treat all those holes to grade 8 specs, too?  ah, something 
new for all the anal retentive to contemplate.
