For me, all I needed to do was loosen the crossover pipe bolts, rock it
back, change the tubing, and go from there. You won't be able to
replace it, typically, with everything bolted down.

Subject: <VV> replacing turbo outlet rubber connector hose.
I have found a crack in my rubber turbo output connector hose which I'm
sure
is giving me a vacuum leak. I have a new one from Clark's. I plan to
replace
it this weekend. What is the spacing between the turbo and the crossover
tube? Can I just slip the hose up and then off or should I plan to
remove
the crossover tube or do I need to remove the turbo. Just in case, I
have
all the gaskets that might be needed for either procedure. Is this a
piece
of cake or an involved job?
The reason I ask is that I have a chance to go on a cruise at noon with
some
of my buddies and need to know how early I need to start the job. I
know I
will find out the answer Saturday when I start the job but I want to
know
how long it SHOULD take.
Thanks,
Dave Thompson
