All,
An update on my computer situation. Yesterday it was acting up so badly
(crashing every 10-15 minutes) that I simply could not do email. So I
opened it up, yanked the power supply out, and took it to the local
Staples. The techie looked it over and with what I told her of my computer,
she recommended a power supply with the double the horsepower (480watt). I
installed it, and ran the rest of the day with no problems, though only
time will tell whether that is the ultimate solution. Again, thanks for all
the advice, everyone. There were numerous other pieces of great advice I
will also be pursuing, but for now am doing one fix at a time.
The laptop is something I'm looking into, but for a different reason. I'm
working on being able to offer at conventions on-the-spot window sticker
reproductions, custom made for any given car. The key is that they will be
as accurate as I know how to make them, and hopefully they'll be all but
indistinguishable from the original item. I'm already able to surpass in
quality and accuracy anyone else's product that's currently on the market.
What will make this possible will be not only a proprioritary computer
program with complete information (available nowhere else), but a laptop
and printer that I can carry with me. I already can produce stickers for
'69's and am working on the other years, but it will be at least a year
before I have enough information on all the rest of the years and models.
Anyone interested should contact me offline.
