Living here in Colorado, we have some wide open roads, the interstates are
75 mph so I drive 75 to 80 regularly. We had a pretty fast trip to the
tri-state meet last weekend except we stopped every 50 miles for food or
potty breaks. After having a fuel pump fail at the meet and replacing it
with a fuel pump that was probably an OEM, I decided to caravan back with a
different group, one of which had a new fuel pump. They had me lead and I
couldn't drag them along any faster than 67mph. I told Debbie, at least we
would get better mileage and when I checked it and we got 23 mph. Even
though Clay Wispell claims FCs have the ballistics of a brick, a 110 will
move that brick down the road. I need to put an Aerostar air dam on it. A
passing semi, with a cross wind blowing really upset the van even at 67.
No fast driving tonight, we've got 2" of snow on the deck! Nothing like
Memorial Day in the Rockies!
