That's your problem.."Browsing"..... good cars and "deals" come thru
"connections"!!! Your local chapter.....you are a member?
And #1!! DRIVING a Corvair.....all over the place...to different towns...
they'll give em' to ya!
My most recent, was way under a grand.. delivered!....has a NEW 140..pg
64...coupe.......with a pulsating Choke pulloff..... like Rudys....
broken pushrod /rocker arm.........fixed quickly.......while revving for a
test of a PC based rpm / Timing graphing program.....broke the other of
each on the same cylinder....same symptom.....same fix...just examined all
parts and chamfered the inner holes of the rockers...per Bob Coffin....
And yes, it had other problems...no upshift [ pinched vacuum line to
modulator], low brake pedal.......back up 900 times to self adjust..
broken down drivers seat.....got a free MATCHING one while 700 miles south
at the Fan Belt Toss......
Has NEW Clarks Carpet!....but no radio!! Bummer!! OH...of course... it
had almost $300 of back state registration to pay...
Boo Hoo...gg no rust 94k miles on chassis... 2 owner... [ member of the
Corvair Center's Forum...]
The car before that..66 Turbo coupe.....almost cost more to get car shipped
than I paid.......[ friend from Coyote Corvair Club of San Diego County ]
car was in Arizona.
