IF (a big one) you can find the oil press sender socket with a THIN wall,
that would be VERY helpful. Bob is right about the correct tool in this
case. There is a rather thin metal band around the plastic body and the
wrong tool can damage it. If that happens, you'll find that it will leak
and you will be doing the job over again.
My engines all have alternators and sometimes I can get to the sender easily
and other times not so. This often involves a flexible drive (extension) on
the socket. Bend the electrical tab part way down on the sender, slip the
socket on, then put the drive into the socket as far as it will go - usually
not all the way.
I can't give any advice on the generator aspect, but it seems like the
pulley should be in the same spot (plane) in either case - for the belt to
run properly.
BTW - if you DO find a thin wall tool, please let us know who has it!
