Ray,
    Yes, IMHO a Corvair is one of the LEAST likely  cars to flip over, 
especially compared to modern top heavy SUVs.  In over  30 years of fast running 
Corvairs at Lime Rock race track, only ONE Corvair has  ever flipped over, and 
that was due to a blown tire at the worst possible  moment.  Of course, a number 
of these Corvairs have spun out due to over  eager drivers (including 
me).<GGG>

I won't get into whether the  Corvair actually ever had an excessive tendency 
to roll over... but IF it  did, it was fixed early on... the consensus here 
is that it was never  really a problem anyway.... the NHTSA agreed.
