<VV> ... and the younger generation

The juxtaposition of the discussion of younger members, and the loss of Tony Fiore, made me realize:

Tony Fiore was 40 years older than I.  When I first joined CORSA in 1974 I was a 22-year-old kid, and he was a 62-year-old business professional nearing retirement.

He welcomed me into the organization as a peer.  He treated me such that I never noticed that there was a yawning gulf between our ages.

THAT's the way to attract and keep new members.
