Well, I always thought that all of the 1964s with oil bath pre-cleaner were
like your, Bob, but after looking in my 1964 parts book, I am wondering if
maybe some of the earlier '64s may have used the '63 style - perhaps at
least until the older parts were used up?

Actually, the '64 oil bath pre-cleaner user a hose that attched to the
'snout' on the standard 64-69 style air cleaner. At least that is what was
on my '64 from the factory.

Was the AC version different than the non AC version, so the snout could 
clear the condenser?

How about, since the only center section on a 64 would be for AC, the 
other 64 version has something to do with an oil bath pre cleaner?
