All: That is not Bobby Allison in the photo on the NASCAR web site. It is
a Yenko Stinger driven by Art Riley and Russ MacGortty. They started 37th
and finished 29th OA, 8th in P2000 class, 230 laps behind 1st OA and 1st in
class P2000...a Ford Mk 2, driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby.

But Bobby Allison was there, co-driving with Spurgeon May in a Corvair Corsa
in the GT3000 class. They started 53 of 59, and DNF on lap 53, 57th OA.

Info source: the book "Daytona 24 Hours" by J.J. O"Malley, published by
David Bull, 2003

I have several photos of both cars (for which I paid serious money) and a
note from Bobby about the race. Don Yenko drove Art Riley's Volvo with Art
& John Forte to 46th OA.

Historically Yours
			James Rice
